The RayMol app does not collect, store, or share any personal data — it runs entirely on your device. This website (raymol.io) uses Google Analytics, only if you accept the cookie banner, to measure visits.

What the app collects

Nothing. The RayMol app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and includes no analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting. The app does not send your data anywhere.

Your files stay on your device

Molecular structures, sessions, images, and any other files you open, create, or save are processed locally on your Mac, iPad, or iPhone. They are never transmitted to us.

Fetching structures from the Protein Data Bank

If you use Raymol's "Fetch from PDB" feature, the app sends only the structure identifier you request (for example, a 4-character PDB ID) directly to the public RCSB Protein Data Bank in order to download that publicly available structure. This request goes to the RCSB PDB, not to us, and is handled under the RCSB PDB's own policies. Raymol sends no personal information as part of this request.

Website analytics (raymol.io)

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic — roughly how many people visit and which pages they view. Analytics runs only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. When enabled, Google may process data such as your approximate location (from IP address), device and browser type, and pages viewed, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This applies to the website only — the RayMol app itself still collects nothing.

Children's privacy

Because Raymol collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
